I am a native of Atlanta, GA and I am married to the love of my life. One thing I find unique about me is that I love my gray strands and I prefer to wear my hair in its natural state. I don't like hair straighteners. One of my favorite things to do is lay on high quality bedding sheets with a glass of red wine and interesting reading material. I'm delighted to report no red wine spills as of yet. LOL!
I attended a summer program at UAB. One day while there, my roommate and I decided to take a walk and visit the buildings that were open on the campus since our day ended shorter than usual. Everyone else went partying but we stayed behind to be nosey...lol. Out of the buildings we visited that day, the school of Optometry made my top 5 list. After weighing my pros and cons, I applied and 4 years later...VOILA! 😊

Burnout - I realized that there is no shortage of patients and the faster I work the faster they will come. So I slowed down and started saying "no" more often to give myself more balance.
Under compensation - I voluntarily left that situation and never looked back.
Getting boxed in - When I felt I was getting boxed in, I started thinking outside of the box to create my own Optometry path. That's what led me to start the products I talk about below.

However, just as she was about to splatter in the water below, something unexpected happened! Her wings expanded and fanned out; and like magic, the wind picked her up and propelled her upward. As the young eagle soared towards the sky, she couldn’t believe what was happening. Was this a dream? Was she really flying or was this the afterlife?

Thinking outside the box is supposed to mean confronting problems in unconventional ways. It requires creative and free-thinking and encourages frequent challenges to the status quo.
